Do I need to drain my radiator to install it?

Absolutely not. The NeoValve only replaces the thermostatic head (the movable part). The water remains sealed inside the heating circuit by the valve body.
Is the ZigBee version better?

Yes. The ZigBee protocol is designed to consume very little power, which ensures a much longer battery life than a classic Wi-Fi version for this type of motorized device.
What happens if the batteries fail?

The valve stops in its last position. The app sends you a "low battery" notification well before the batteries are empty to give you time to replace them.
